SCOPE:
The Fuel Card Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for boosting B2B sales. Requiring comfort with outbound cold calling, strategizing a targeted area, executing sales, and sales management efforts according to a defined corporate marketing strategy designed to grow the companies commercial fleet fueling business. This is a sales-oriented position requiring developed personal communication and social skills. The sales environment will be inside by phone, email, and virtual meetings. This is a salary position plus commission with an annual compensation target of $80K at plan, with no cap on earnings.
SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES
Strong phone presence and experience dialing multiple dozens of calls per day
Ability to research and develop self-generated leads around targeted areas
Excellent ability to self-motivate and work independently
Organize targeted areas to capitalize on the most effective opportunities
Be able to research, inquire, and respond to RFP’s
Prospecting, canvasing, and a high volume of calls/phone setting appointments that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets for both volume and GP
Conduct phone calls to prospective customers
Conduct follow up calls to prospective customers who have received marketing material
Manage active sales process follow up through to closing of sale
Monitor post-sales follow up to ensure customer uses the card
Maintain call log, appointments, and closes in CRM which must be updated daily
Promote, sell, and secure fleet card business with integrity using a relationship-based approach
Communicate Christensen’s fleet card offering to existing and potential customers and assist them in selecting the best suited option for their needs
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales rep. for further development and closure
Present solutions in a professional, concise and comprehensive manor
Quote pricing, prepare sales proposals and sales presentations
Conduct GoToMeeting training sessions
Embrace product knowledge training and be able to educate the customers and prospects on our features and benefits
Stay educated on our competition’s capabilities and cards offerings, as it constantly evolves
Prospect and develop strategic alliances and partnerships with customers
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects by engaging in the following:
Manage ongoing customer relations when needed
Keeps abreast of marketing conditions, competitive advantages, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with operations and technical service areas
Attend and participate in weekly Fleet Card huddles in person or via Teams
Attend and participate in monthly sales meetings (location TBD)
Attend and participate in industry sales training as directed by management
Lead retrieval for Christensen Inc. at various trades shows, conventions, and community events

Partner with reps in other business units to identify opportunities to cross sell
Share best practices with other sales representatives

Maintain interaction with the Customer Service and Operations team

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS Degree
2+ years professional sales experience required
Experience selling B2B in a high activity sales environment
Fuel industry experience preferred
Experience working with SalesForce or similar CFM
Possess aptitude for problem solving and decision making
Must be results-driven
Able to work independently and within a team environment
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite of applications
Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within assigned region using own transportation
Highly organized with outstanding communication skills
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
Operates in a professional office environment.
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit for long periods of times, talk, and hear.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, with the ability to reach with hands and arms.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
