The Role

We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead sales efforts, develop new customers, and strengthen existing relationships. This role is responsible for coordinating internal and external resources, supporting product development efforts, and ensuring customer needs are met from quoting through delivery.

You will work closely with customers, internal technical teams, and leadership to ensure opportunities align with Engel’s mission and operational capabilities.

This role carries leadership responsibility, including mentoring and developing others while serving as a role model for professionalism, accountability, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell company products and secure new customers, including major accounts

  • Develop sales within new territories, industries, or under‑penetrated markets

  • Work directly with customers to understand needs and help identify solutions

  • Coordinate the quoting process between customers and internal teams

  • Support product development and identify potential new applications

  • Present proposed products and solutions to customers

  • Coordinate customer terms including pricing, delivery expectations, packaging, transportation, and payment terms

  • Investigate product claims and complaints and support resolution efforts

  • Stay informed on market trends, sales forecasts, competition, and opportunities

  • Prepare and contribute to quarterly reports and associated sales metrics

  • Train, motivate, and develop sales and related staff to support current and future business needs

Job requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience

  • Sales experience strongly preferred

  • Ability to coordinate across internal technical and operational teams

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills

  • Comfortable handling escalated customer issues when needed

  • On‑target earnings (OTE): $185,000 in Year 1
